Can I get an audible you've got mail or a sound of some sort so I know when I've received new e-mail ?

You've got mail is a AOL feature, Yahoo pops up an envelope in the task bar and gives a tone. Go to and click Messenger, scroll to and click Preferences, on the side menu, click Alerts & Sounds. Mark the boxes, Enable alerts sounds, Showing a message at the bottom right corner of screen and Playing a sound. You can browse and see if there are any choices for sound, Click Apply and Ok. You must be signed into the messenger to receive new mail alerts. When you do sign in they will pop up.
