I want to experience investin in stock/MF but i dont earn,still i have like 5-6k Rs.hw to start investin?

hey ppl, i havent started earnin but i hv like 5-6k from my dad n some other sources,i jus wanna start up wid this money instead of jus keepin them like this...what r the pre-requisites 1 need in order to start investing???
