Did My Dad Have A Heart Attack And A Stroke?

Daddy had the signs of an impending stroke for several days but refused to go to the doctor. He died instantly of a mive stroke. But he had one sign I've never seen listed for a stroke: pain in his back, shoulders, arms, and neck. These pains would come and go over several days. I've always seen this given as a sign of heart attack. Could he have had a series of mini heart attacks too? If it matters, he was Type 1 diabetic and 78 years old.
